Cherokee Springs
Dive-1
In 2002 the Cherokee Springs Fire Department was awarded a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Administration for the purpose of establishing water rescue unit for the community. The team consists of eight rescue divers and several support staff. After a year of dedicated training and hundreds of man hours spent equipping the boat, the team became operational in July of 2004.
